My new favorite dessert is Strawberry and Angel Food Cake Kebabs!

Cut squares of the angel food cake and toss it on to some skewers with strawberries.  You can drizzle chocolate over the top or even lightly grill it.  (I didn’t know what I would think of grilled cake and strawberries but it was delicious!)

My translation of the recipe:

Freeze champagne in little paper cups with beautiful silverware sticking out of them!  Peel off paper cups before serving.  *It’s months away but this would be a great idea for a New Year’s Eve party.

If someone had told me about flamenco growing up, I would have tossed my ballet shoes to the wind and said hola to dancing in the streets of Spain.  Since no one did tell me, I’ve found the next best thing!  Flamencita of Etsy has skirts and dresses that will keep you twirling all night long. 

In NYC there are many fabulous things.  One of those things is what I like to call, the walk-in movie theater.  Throughout the summer, many parks in the city will set up outdoor movie screens.  The one in Dumbo (Brooklyn) is my absolute favorite because it includes not only a movie but a gorgeous view of the Manhattan skyline as well!

Delicious and refreshing, Blackberry Smash is a great drink when your in the mood for something other then wine or beer!  Check out the recipe below:

• 5 blackberries
• 6-8 mint leaves, torn (plus more for garnish)
• ½ small red plum, peeled and diced (plus more for garnish)
• ½ ounce simple syrup
• ½ ounce cointreau
• 2 ounces whiskey

In a cocktail shaker, muddle blackberries, mint, plum and simple syrup until broken up. Add ice, cointreau and whiskey. Shake vigorously 12 to 15 seconds. Strain into a low ball glass filled with ice and garnish with a slice of plum and sprig of mint.
